Vertical Growth

This mixed-use development integrates vertical farming into the architectural fabric of downtown Los Angeles, reimagining the urban food supply chain through sustainable design. The project features aeroponic farming systems embedded within the building’s façade and atrium spaces, reducing water usage dramatically—an essential response to the region’s arid climate.

The structure employs a modular design that allows residents to engage directly with food production through designated farming terraces and communal grow pods, encouraging self-sufficiency and lowering living costs. Photovoltaic panels are strategically installed on the roof and sun-exposed façades, harnessing solar energy to power farming operations and reduce the building’s environmental footprint.

By uniting urban agriculture with contemporary architecture, this project not only enhances access to fresh produce but also sets a precedent for sustainable, high-density development in metropolitan contexts.
